COVID-19 is a respiratory infection transmitted through coughs, sneezes, or close contact with someone carrying the virus. Common symptoms include a high temperature or shivering, a persistent cough, a sore throat, and changes or loss of the sense of smell or taste.
While most individuals experience mild symptoms and recover swiftly, some may develop more severe illness. In certain cases, symptoms may linger and progress into what is known as “Long COVID”.
Individuals at higher risk of severe illness include older adults, people with weakened immune systems, and those with specific underlying health conditions.
The Fulham Wellness COVID-19 Vaccination Service is a private service available for adults and children aged 12 years and over. Please note, this is not an NHS service.
The vaccination helps protect you from catching COVID-19 and reduces the risk of passing it on to others.
This is not an exhaustive list, and suitability will be assessed before the vaccination is administered.
The vaccination will be administered in the upper arm, so it’s best to wear short sleeves or loose sleeves that can be easily rolled up.
Before giving the vaccine, the healthcare professional will discuss potential side effects with you.
